It just reminds me of Buffy:TVS and how Willow and Tara didn’t kiss for the longest time (despite being a couple) because their network didn’t allow it.
They were a couple for about one season until they finally got an onscreen kiss (beautifully done by Joss) while Brittana’s been hooking up offscreen for two seasons now…
Once is all I need. Now I can just happily skip past it next week.
and i’m not even one of those people who had a hard time coming out. i’ve always been surrounded by supportive people but that scene— it’s just such a violation of someone’s right to choose and their right to privacy and possibly their right to safety that i actually get nauseous.
I think, besides Santana, they are the only characters who understand exactly how horrific outing someone is. Especially Kurt, seeing as he specifically refused to out Karofsky, a boy whose bullying chased him out of the school.
